How do I change my name on my account?

You can change the full name in your edX account. Your full name appears on the certificates that you earn, and on your learner profile page if you select Full Profile for profile visibility.

Note: You can change your full name, but you cannot change your username.

Be aware of the following when changing your full name:
The certificates that you earn are issued to your full name.
The name on the photo ID that you use for ID verification must exactly match your full name used in your edX account.
To change the full name in your edX account
At the top of any page, select the dropdown menu icon next to your username.
Select Account.

In the Full Name field, make the changes you want to your full name.
To save your changes, click anywhere on the page outside of the Full Name field, or navigate to a different page.
