How To Reactivate Facebook Account After Deactivating
Did anyone experience a deactivated Facebook account reactivating by itself?
Jérôme Cukier, works at Facebook ·
Yeah there's a bunch of apps and services which use the Facebook platform. When you deactivate your account, you get kicked out of all of them. If you try to log back in, and type in your FB credentials to do so, your account is reactivated - even if that wasn't your intention. The only exception is Messenger, which you can log into without reactivating your account. But open Moments for instance and your FB account will come back from the dead.

When you deactivate your account, it tells you that if you don't automatically click something, it will only go inactive temporarily.
There's an extra step you have to take to deactivate permanently.

Hi, yes! I’ve deacivated my husbands Facebook account almost 2 years ago. It automatically reactived 2 weeks back without logging into it. If you try to login with the old credentials, Facebook tells me that those login details does not exist. Facebook itself is with no use in answering these questions :

It is also possible that you logged somewhere (mayby auto-login?) or used your account in another app, what reactivated your account.
